about  Akira Uchiyama
1947
  • Born in Murakami, Niigata Prefecture, Japan.
1969
  • Graduated from the Tokyo University of Photography.

1973
  • Held his solo exhibition "People who influenced the 70s", in the city of Niigata, it presented portraits of 152 famous people of Japan
1980
  • Made a portrait of Eugene Smith, a member of the Magnum worldwide agency of reportage photographers.
    1984
    • Received an award from the Japan Portrait Photographers Association.
    1984 - 1987
    • Made a number of business trips to China and presented his work at an exhibition called "Hometown of Hermits" at the Fuji Photo Gallery in Tokyo, and in 1988 a photo album of the same name was published.
    1992 - 2004
    • Lectured 1,200 students in 12 years on photographic expression techniques at Nagaoka University of Art and Design.

    1998
    • Worked in Northern Italy and on his return home held an exhibition in Ginza. Tokyo. The following year, the photographs taken during this trip were published in the photo album "Impression of Italy".
